The Civil Code stipulates that all natural persons are equal as regards their capacity for civil rights.

Even unborn children are entitled to the rights of inheritance and gifts.

Minors who are victims of sexual abuse or assault can still claim their rights through legal channels when they reach 18.

The Civil Code also clarifies that Party and government departments, enterprises, schools, and other institutions should adopt appropriate measures to prevent and stop sexual harassment that takes advantage of power or position.

According to the code, the property rights of the State, collective, and individuals are all equally protected.

Data and online virtual assets are also legally protected.
